Early Life and EducationParminder K. Nagra, a British actress with Indian roots, was born on October 5, 1975, in England. Her parents immigrated from India to the United Kingdom in the late 1960s. Her father worked as a factory worker, while her mother was a packer. Parminder never experienced luxury and learned from a young age to work hard and provide for herself. Tragic Accident and Scar
At the age of 7, Parminder suffered a severe burn accident. While preparing food, a spark ignited her clothing, causing her pants to catch fire. Her uncle managed to extinguish the flames by submerging her in a bathtub filled with cold water, but her skin on her legs was already badly damaged. To this day, Parminder bears a prominent scar on her right leg as a reminder of that dreadful event.
Early Career
At the age of 16, Parminder Nagra began working at the Leicester Theatre, which marked the start of her successful acting career. In 1994, she joined the main cast of the TV series "Casualty" and remained with the show until 2008, portraying the bright and sincere character Neela Rasgotra.
