Biography of Pascal Lamy
Pascal Lamy was born on April 8, 1947. He completed his education at the Paris School of Higher Commercial Studies, the Institute of Political Studies, and the National School of Administration.
Early Career
Lamy began his career in the General Inspectorate of Finance and Treasury from 1975 to 1981. During this time, he gained valuable experience in financial and administrative matters.
Political Advisor
Following his work in finance, Lamy served as an advisor to Jacques Delors, the Minister of the Economy and Finance. He later became the Deputy Director of Pierre Mauroy's Cabinet, further expanding his political expertise.
Leadership in Finance
In the late 1990s, Lamy took on a leadership role as the head of one of France's largest banks, "Crédit Lyonnais." His experience in the financial sector further solidified his knowledge and expertise in economic matters.
