Early Life and Club Career

Paul Bosvelt, a Dutch football player and now coach, began his professional career with Go Ahead Eagles in 1989. In 1994, he moved to Twente, where he became a regular starter. His impressive performances caught the attention of Feyenoord, one of the top clubs in the Netherlands. Joining Feyenoord in 1997, Bosvelt had the most successful period of his career. He won the Dutch Eredivisie title in 1999 and the UEFA Cup in 2002.

Premier League and Return to the Netherlands

In 2003, Bosvelt sought a new challenge and joined Manchester City in the English Premier League. He became a key player for the "Citizens," making 52 appearances over two seasons. In 2005, he returned to the Netherlands to play for Heerenveen, where he retired in 2007.

International Career

Despite making his international debut for the Netherlands at the late age of 30, Bosvelt went on to represent his country in two European Championships, in 2000 and 2004. He amassed 24 caps for the Dutch national team.

Coaching Career

After retiring from playing, Bosvelt began his coaching career as assistant manager of Heerenveen. He has since held assistant and head coaching roles at various Dutch clubs. In 2020, he was appointed manager of Go Ahead Eagles, his former club.
