Early CareerPaul Konchesky, an English defender, began his professional football career at Charlton Athletic. He made his debut with the first team as the youngest player ever for the club, but his record was later surpassed by Jonjo Shelvey.
West Ham United
In 2005, Konchesky moved to West Ham United, where he played a pivotal role in the club's run to the FA Cup final in 2006. Despite scoring a goal in the final, his team lost to Liverpool on penalties.
