Paula J. Parker is an American actress and comedian who has made a name for herself in both film and television. She gained recognition for her dramatic role in the HBO telefilm 'Cosmic Slop' in 1994, for which she received the 'CableACE' award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Special or Series.
Before earning her standout role as Roberta Young in David E. Kelley's series 'Snoops', Parker had already built an impressive portfolio of work in both film and television. Her comedic talent and powerful presence were showcased in one season of the FOX comedy program 'Apollo Comedy Hour', which led to her starring role in the short-lived series 'Townsend Television' by Robert Townsend.
Parker's talent was also evident in her dramatic performances, as seen in her award-winning role in 'Cosmic Slop'. On the big screen, she is known for her supporting role as Joey in F. Gary Gray's comedy 'Friday', as well as her appearances in the horror anthology 'Tales from the Hood' in 1995 and Spike Lee's historical drama 'Get on the Bus' in 1996.
