Childhood and Early Life

Pavel Chinarev was born on May 14, 1986, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Despite his family's lack of connection to the performing arts, his passion for acting led him to pursue a career on stage and screen.

Education

After graduating high school, Chinarev enrolled at the Saint Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts under the guidance of renowned director Lev Dodin. After completing four years, he took a break and worked as a bartender before resuming his studies under director Yuri Krasovsky.

Theater Career

Chinarev made his stage debut at the Priyut Komedianta Theater in "Cyrano de Bergerac." He went on to perform in productions such as "Summer We Never Saw" and "Shopping & Fcking" at the theater. In 2011, Chinarev joined the Post Theater, known for its contemporary and intellectual productions. He collaborated with director Dmitry Volkovstrelov on experimental pieces like "Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat" and "The Locked Door." His acclaimed performance in Volkovstrelov's "Soldier" at Teatr.doc in Moscow garnered critical praise.

Chinarev also worked with acclaimed director Konstantin Bogomolov in the Moscow Art Theater productions "The Ideal Husband" and "The Karamazovs." Later, he appeared in "Gargantua and Pantagruel" and "The Idiot" at the Theater of Nations.

Film Career

Chinarev's film career began with minor roles in TV series before he landed his breakthrough role in "Rags Union" (2015). He continued to impress in the horror film "Route Constructed" (2016) and the crime series "The Jackal" (2016). In 2017, he gained recognition for his portrayal of a falsely accused man in "The Expert."

Personal Life

Chinarev is married to Alena Bondarchuk, a fellow actress at the Post Theater. They have a son named Makar. Chinarev is known for keeping his personal life private and rarely discusses it in public interviews.

Current and Future Projects

Chinarev continues to appear in television series such as "Major" and "Doctor Richter." He recently starred in the comedy film "Billion" (2019) and the war film "Grasshopper's Jump" (2019). Beyond acting, he pursues his passion for music as a DJ and attends scratching classes at Scratch DJ School.
