Pavel Zibrov - Ukrainian Singer and Composer
Pavel Zibrov is a Ukrainian singer and composer. He was born on June 22, 1957, in the village of Chervonoe, into a family of Russian father Nikolay Ivanovich Zibrov (who passed away in 1964) and Ukrainian mother Anna Kirillovna Zibrova. His mother worked as a teacher, while his father was a handyman. Pavel attended the Lysenko Special Boarding Music School in Kyiv, and his brother Vladimir Zibrov attended the Moscow Military Music School.
Education and Career
In 1981, Pavel graduated from the Orchestral Faculty of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, and in 1992, he completed his studies at the Vocal Faculty. From 1986 to 1993, he was a soloist of the State Pop-Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. In 1993, Pavel Zibrov was awarded the title of Merited Artist of Ukraine, and in 1996, he became a People's Artist of Ukraine. Since 1994, he has been the director and artistic director of the Pavel Zibrov Song Theater. He is also a professor at the Department of Pop Singing at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
Personal Life
Pavel Zibrov's first wife, Tatiana, left him for one of his students when he was 27 years old. His second wife, Marina Vladimirovna Zibrova (born on August 25, 1959), works as a director, costume designer, and artist at the Pavel Zibrov Theater. They married on August 25, 1994. Pavel and Marina have a daughter named Diana Zibrova, born on February 21, 1997. Pavel also has an adopted son, Alexander Zibrov (born in 1982), who is married to Alina (born in 1988). Alexander is Marina's son from her first marriage. Pavel's older brother, Vladimir Nikolaevich Zibrov (born in 1954), is an Honored Artist of Ukraine and a retired colonel. He served in the song and dance ensemble and currently works in the Pavel Zibrov Theater. Vladimir has four children.
Trivia
The band "Pauching trusy" performed a song called "Mobile - a fun for a fool," which includes the lyrics "I'll send an SMS to Pavel Zibrov, like a cow being milked to his song."
