Birth and Early YearsPhilippos, born on April 26, 1986, is the third son and youngest child of Constantine II, the last King of Greece, and Anne-Marie of Denmark. He belongs to the House of Glücksburg, which ruled Greece from 1863 to 1967. Notably, Philippos' mother is also a descendant of the same dynasty. He was born at St Mary's Hospital in London.
Education
Philippos attended the Hellenic College of London from 1992 to 2002. He then spent two years at United World College in Montezuma, New Mexico. Subsequently, he earned a degree in international relations from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Royal Lineage
While Philippos holds the title of Prince, he is unlikely to inherit the Greek throne. Constantine II, his father, is still alive, and Philippos' older brothers, Crown Prince Pavlos and Prince Nikolaos, are ahead of him in the line of succession. It is worth noting that Greece abolished the monarchy in 1973.
