American playwright and theater director was born in the United States. In the years between 1892 and 1896, she studied at the Stainhope-Wheatcroft Dramatic School, where she also taught.
Acting and Playwrighting
She began her career as an actress, but later found her calling in writing and directing. She staged her plays in various New York theaters, including the Savoy, Manhattan, and Little Theatre.
