Richard Perry: A Successful Businessman and Investor

Richard Perry, a well-known investor specializing in hedge funds, was born in the United States in 1954. He received his higher education in 1977 from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1980, Perry furthered his studies in management at New York University. Currently, he resides in New York and is happily married.

Founding Perry Capital, LLC

In 1998, Perry founded his own company, Perry Capital, LLC, and served as its President and CEO. Perry Capital, LLC is a major commercial investment group with approximately $11 billion in assets. The company is focused on long-term investments in various industries including real estate and transportation, as well as private equity markets. Perry's leadership approach has been to make strategic and profitable decisions.

Entrepreneurial Ventures

Throughout his career, Perry has held positions in several companies and served on their boards of directors. From May 1999, he worked at FTD.com Inc., and also served on the board of directors for Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. Starting in December 2001, Perry was a director at PAV Republic Inc., Radio and Records, Inc., and Florists' Transworld Delivery Inc. Since 1994, he has been a director of BRANDS Corporation.
