Biography of Robert Knox
Robert Arthur "Rob" Knox (August 21, 1989 - May 24, 2008) was a British actor, rugby player, and student at Beths Grammar School. He started his acting career at the age of eleven, with a small role in an episode of the police drama "The Bill", which aired on ITV. He also appeared in the reality show "Trust me I'm a Teenager" on Channel 4 and the BBC comedy "After You've Gone".
Acting Career
Robert appeared in various productions, including the 2004 film "King Arthur" and the television program "Tonight with Trevor McDonald". However, his most notable role was as Marcus Belby, a Ravenclaw student, in the sixth Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". His name appeared in the credits with a memorial frame.
Tragic Death
Robert Knox tragically died on May 24, 2008, in London outside the Metro Bar in the southeast suburb of Sidcup. He intervened in a fight to protect his sixteen-year-old brother, Jamie, from two men, one of whom was armed with two knives. Robert, along with four other teenagers, sustained injuries during the altercation. He passed away in his mother's arms, bleeding from his wounds.
Legacy
Robert Knox was the twenty-eighth teenager to die in 2008 in the United Kingdom from a knife-related incident. His killer, twenty-one-year-old Karl Norman Bishop, was sentenced to life imprisonment on March 4, 2009, with a minimum of twenty years before being eligible for parole. He also received three additional life sentences for causing grievous bodily harm to Robert's friends.

Robert's parents, Sally and Colin Knox, described their son as kind, thoughtful, and always willing to help others. He was known for his love of parties, sports events, and socializing with people. He had great respect for others and was cherished by his family and friends.
