Biography of Robert Lentz
Robert Lentz is a Soviet and Russian singer and musician, best known as the vocalist of the band "Bravo." He was born into a family of geophysicists. His father, Semyon Moiseevich Kofsman, was a seismic geophysicist who graduated from the Moscow Oil Institute in 1957. Robert's mother, Lyudmila Kofsman, also had a career related to geophysics.
During his school years, Lentz developed a passion for water skiing and achieved the rank of Candidate for Master of Sports in this sport. After finishing school, he attempted to enter the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry. However, after failing the entrance exams, he enlisted in the army and served as a firefighter in Novaya Zemlya.
In the late 1980s, Lentz formed an English-speaking rockabilly group called "Tihii Chas" (Quiet Hour), with which he recorded a cassette album and a mini-album. In 1989, he auditioned to become the vocalist of the band "Bravo", but was not selected, losing the position to Yevgeny Osin. Left without a band, Lentz adopted the stage name "Lenz" and formed the group "Mess Age", which also featured drummer Pavel Kuzin. He also played with other bands, such as "Bakhit-Kompot" and Joanna Stingray.
In 1995, Lentz finally joined the band "Bravo" as a vocalist and guitarist, and has been an integral part of the group ever since.
Personal Life and Hobbies
Lentz has been married twice. He is an avid collector of "Led Zeppelin" bootlegs. Among his hobbies, he enjoys skiing, water skiing, snowboarding, surfing, and rollerblading.
