Her mother, Elaine Lively, was an actress, while her stepfather, Ernie Lively, is an actor and director. Lively's siblings include actor Jason Lively, actress Lori Lively, and her half-sisters Blake Lively and Eric Lively, all of whom have pursued careers in entertainment.

Childhood Acting Career

Lively's acting career began at the tender age of six, with her debut role in the film "Summer of My German Soldier" (1978).
