Rocky Gray: A Versatile Rock Musician
Early CareerRocky Gray emerged as a prominent figure in the Christian hardcore and metal genres, excelling as both a guitarist and drummer. He became a member of numerous bands, notably Shredded Corpse, where he played guitar.
Soul Embraced andEvanescence
After Shredded Corpse's dissolution, Gray co-founded Soul Embraced with David Scrochinski, initially assuming the role of guitarist. In 2002, he joined the renowned Evanescence as their drummer, contributing to their acclaimed album "Fallen" with the memorable track "Tourniquet."
Departure from Evanescence and Subsequent Ventures
In 2007, Gray left Evanescence in protest against the dismissal of guitarist John LeCompt. Together with LeCompt, they formed the band Machina, with Gray taking on drumming responsibilities. Additionally, Gray returned to Soul Embraced, switching to drums.
Collaborations and Current Projects
Gray collaborated with Living Sacrifice in the early 2000s and rejoined the band in 2008. Since June 2009, he has been the drummer for We Are The Fallen, further solidifying his versatile and accomplished career.
