Guerreiro's footballing journey began with São Caetano, where he spent two years honing his skills. His talent soon caught the attention of Corinthians, one of Brazil's most illustrious clubs, who signed him in 2002. Despite limited playing time, he made history by winning the Copa do Brasil, his first major trophy. In 2004, he played a pivotal role in Flamengo's success in the Campeonato Carioca.
