Biography of Rudy Santos

Rudy Santos, a 69-year-old Filipino man, suffers from an incredibly rare condition known as Craniopagus Parasiticus or parasitic twin. He is the oldest person on Earth living with this condition. Attached to his pelvis and abdomen is an extra pair of arms and legs that belonged to his twin brother, whom Santos absorbed in the womb. Additionally, he has an extra pair of nipples and an undeveloped head with an ear and hair.

A National Sensation

Rudy Santos became a national celebrity during his travels as part of a freak show in the 1970s and 1980s. He earned around 20,000 pesos per day, being the main attraction of the show. It was during this time that he acquired his stage name - "The Octopus." Santos was idolized like a god, with women lining up to simply stand next to him or have their photos taken with him.

A Life in Poverty

Strangely enough, Rudy Santos disappeared from the public eye in the late 1980s and has been living in poverty for over a decade. In 2008, two doctors examined him to assess the possibility of survival after a surgery to remove the unnecessary parts of his body. They concluded that they could remove the parasitic twin, but Santos declined, explaining that he had grown to love his imperfection.
