Early Life and Education

Rusty Joiner was born on December 11, 1972, in Montgomery, Alabama. His parents later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he grew up. Joiner attended Georgia Southern University, where he excelled as an athlete, cheerleader, and gymnast for four years.

Modeling Career

While in Atlanta, Joiner was noticed by a modeling agency employee. This led to several years of runway appearances in Milan and Paris and photo shoots for magazines in South America. Joiner quickly gained recognition in the fashion industry and built a reputation as a successful professional model.

Success and Brand Collaborations

Joiner's modeling career included runway shows and shoots for renowned fashion brands such as Prada, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, Levi's, PowerAde, and others. In 1997, Joiner achieved international fame when he signed an exclusive two-year contract with the popular underwear manufacturer, Structure Underwear. During this time, he not only appeared as a model in magazines and catalogs but also became the face of the company on various television shows from 1998 to 2000. Joiner graced the covers and pages of Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone, Men's Fitness, Vogue Homme, and numerous issues of Men's Health, Physical, and Muscle Media. His appearance on the February cover of Men's Fitness in 2005 marked his eleventh cover in five years.

Transition to Acting

Building on the success of his collaboration with Structure, Joiner transitioned from the modeling business to acting in films. He appeared in the 2004 comedy "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" alongside Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn, as well as the thriller "Resident Evil: Extinction" with Milla Jovovich, released in 2007. Joiner also made guest appearances in TV series such as Bones, CSI: Miami, Dr. Vegas, The Closer, ER, Boston Public, and Spin City.

Current Endeavors

Joiner continues to work on various advertising campaigns, with notable collaborations including Suzuki, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Honda, and Taco Bell. Standing at a height of 180 cm, Joiner released a sports instructional film titled "Arms & Abs Workout" on DVD in 2005, where he demonstrates exercises for abdominal, bicep, and tricep muscles. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Joiner is involved in charitable activities, particularly organizations dedicated to helping leukemia patients, in addition to his primary work.
