Early Life and Career

Ryan Gauld was born on December 16, 1995, in Aberdeen, Scotland. From a young age, he had a passion for football and spent much of his free time training and watching matches. For the next six years, Gauld trained under the coaching staff at Dundee United and represented the youth teams. On May 13, 2012, he made his debut for the club's first team in a Scottish Premier League match. Despite limited appearances in the early stages of his professional career, Gauld gained a reputation as a reliable midfielder who excelled in both attack and defense.

Professional Career

When Gauld's first contract with Dundee United expired, manager Peter Houston insisted on renewing the agreement, assuring fans and the board of directors that the young player had incredible potential rarely seen at such a young age. Just five days after extending his contract, Gauld proved Houston right by scoring a brace in a match against Motherwell, leading his team to a resounding 4-0 victory.

Until 2014, Gauld represented Dundee United and became one of the main players in the first team, despite his young age. He played a total of 42 matches and scored seven goals. In July 2014, Gauld signed a contract with Sporting CP in Lisbon, with a release clause of €60 million. The deal itself exceeded the £3 million mark.

Shortly after the transfer, Gauld was initially placed in the club's second team. However, recently, he has been increasingly included in the first team squad for matches.

National Team

From 2012 to 2014, Gauld played for the Scottish youth national team, representing them at the under-19 level. In 2014, he moved up to the under-21 team. Many expect Gauld to be included in Scotland's squad for the 2016 European Championship, as the country is determined to make its mark in the tournament.

Ryan Gauld's talent, skill, and potential have earned him recognition as one of the most promising midfielders in Scotland. With his young age and impressive performances, Gauld has a bright future ahead of him and holds the hope of becoming a key player for both his club and the national team.
