Biography of Sabine Dünser
Early Life and Musical BeginningsSabine Mikaela Dünser was born on July 27, 1977, in Liechtenstein. From a young age, she was involved in music, starting with playing the flute at the age of four and later transitioning to the piano at ten. At twelve, Sabine joined a choir and began taking vocal lessons.
Joining Elis
After acquiring a solid foundation of skills, Sabine auditioned for Oliver Falk, the leader of the well-known band WeltenBrand, in 2000. Falk was looking to venture into more commercial and dynamic music and invited Sabine, who was working as a speech therapist for children and in a nursing home, to join the new project called Erben der Schöpfung.
In 2001, the group released the single "Elis" and the album "Twilight." The band extensively toured and performed at festivals such as Wave-Gotik-Treffen. Erben der Schöpfung gained recognition in alternative German charts and received positive reviews from the press.
Formation of Elis
In 2002, Oliver Falk became disillusioned with the project, disbanded the group, and prohibited its members from using the name Erben der Schöpfung. Dünser and guitarist Pete Streit formed a new band called Elis.
Tragic Passing
Ten days after her twenty-ninth birthday, during a rehearsal, Sabine complained of a sudden deterioration in her health. Despite urgent hospitalization, Dünser's condition could not be saved, and she passed away the following day. On July 9, 2006, the band's website administration posted a message announcing Sabine's death due to an intracerebral hemorrhage.
