Sasha Jones is an Australian tennis player who was born in New Zealand. Her father is Australian and her mother is from New Zealand.

At the beginning of 2009, Jones was ranked 306th in the world. She had been performing at an average level for a long time, but in the autumn of that year, her situation changed dramatically. Jones went on an amazing winning streak of 24 consecutive victories.

In the Darwin tournament, Jones not only won her second victory of the year but also defeated Alicia Molik, who was once ranked among the top 10 tennis players in the world and had just returned to professional tennis. Two weeks later, Sasha won the Mount Gambier tournament, where she defeated Alicia Molik again in the final.

A week later, Sasha faced Molik for the third time in the final of the Port Pirie tournament, and once again luck was on the side of the younger athlete. Following this success, she won the Rock Hill tournament without losing a single set. The following week, she reached the final of the Phoenix tournament but was defeated by Varvara Lepchenko.

Despite this loss, Jones' rise in the rankings could not be stopped, and by the end of the season, she was ranked 167th.

In 2010, Jones planned to participate in the ASB Classic tournament but had to withdraw due to injury. She later took part in the 2010 PTT Pattaya Open but was defeated in the first round by Alberta Brianti.
