Early Life and Education

Scott Gault, born on January 31, 1983, in Berkeley, California, attended Piedmont High School, where he excelled in various sports, including football, basketball, and golf. His athletic prowess led him to earn a gold medal in 2000 and a silver medal in 2001. Gault began rowing in 1999 with the Oakland Strokes.

College Career

Gault briefly attended the University of Oregon but later transferred to the University of Washington. At Washington, he found an ideal environment to hone his rowing skills, where he was considered one of the most promising athletes. He competed in and won several prestigious events such as the Pacific-10 Championships, Men's Second Varsity Eight, IRA (Men's Collegiate) Championships, and others in 2005.

International Competition

Gault represented the United States on the international stage at the FISA Under 23 World Championships in 2005 and the FISA World Championships in 2006. His impressive performances earned him a spot on the Olympic team for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics in pair rowing.
