Early Life
Woodley was born in Simi Valley, California to parents Lori and Lonnie Woodley, who worked in education. She has a younger brother named Tanner. Woodley had her first audition at the age of five. Despite her acting career, she managed to continue her education. However, at the age of 15, Woodley faced a series of serious problems. Shortly after her parents announced their divorce, she learned that she had scoliosis. Doctors explained that this condition affects approximately 2% of the population and usually does not require surgery. Woodley received a plastic brace that helped straighten her spine, and her scoliosis no longer troubled her.
Acting Career
In 2002, Woodley appeared in several small television roles in projects such as "Without a Trace" and "The District." In 2005, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for her role as California Ford in "A Place Called Home." From 2003 to 2004, Woodley portrayed Kaitlin Cooper in the popular television series "The O.C." She received another nomination for her role as Felicity Merriman in "Felicity: An American Girl Adventure."
Woodley continued to appear in popular television shows such as "Crossing Jordan," "Everybody Loves Raymond," "My Name is Earl," "CSI: NY," and "Close to Home."
