Entering the National Team

With impressive performances in both youth and adult competitions, Bertazzo earned a spot as a pilot for the Italian national bobsleigh team in 2001.

Olympic Debut and Triumph at World Championships

Bertazzo made his Olympic debut at the 2006 Winter Games in Turin. Although he missed out on the podium, his performance paved the way for his continued success. In 2007, he captured a bronze medal at the World Championships in St. Moritz in the two-man bobsled.

Vancouver Olympics and World Cup Success

Despite a disqualification in the two-man bobsled at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, Bertazzo achieved a ninth-place finish in the four-man bobsled. Additionally, he had a remarkable season in the 2010/11 World Cup, securing four podium finishes in the two-man bobsled, including two gold medals.

Career Decline and Sochi Olympics

Unfortunately, Bertazzo's career took a downturn in the following years. His results in the World Cup dropped, with a 13th-place finish in the two-man bobsled and a 12th-place finish in the four-man bobsled in 2012. He competed in the 2014 Sochi Olympics, finishing 14th in the two-man bobsled and 18th in the four-man bobsled.
