Genesis of a Band
In the annals of the 40th school, a trio of students embarked on a musical journey that would leave an enduring legacy. Driven by a shared passion, they acquired a dilapidated "Super Amaty" drum kit and forged a nascent band.
Early Embers
The founding members consisted of acoustic guitarists "Lapot" and "Sanya" and drummer "Dima (Blackmore)." Their rudimentary repertoire of two songs, "composed" by Lapot (who shamelessly borrowed chords from the Red Hot Chili Peppers), ignited their youthful spirits.
Vocal Enhancements
As their musical horizons expanded, the group welcomed vocalist "Pasha," who proved to be an invaluable asset. He contributed both lyrics and melodies, and brought along his friend "Artom (Moskit)" as lead guitarist. With a modest concert under their belt, the band's momentum grew.
A Temporary Setback
However, fate intervened when "Sanya" departed to join an unnamed band. Amidst this setback, the remaining members faced an unexpected eviction from their school, forcing them to seek refuge elsewhere.
A Sanctuary in the Wings
In the nick of time, "Sonar (Maxim Varshavsky)" offered the band a much-needed rehearsal space. This became the cradle of their official name, "K12." Yet, their repetitive repertoire began to lose its allure, exacerbated by Pasha's persistent exhortation to "play something simple."
Seeking a Catalyst
Recognizing the need for a virtuoso, the group recruited "Igor (Metal)" as solo guitarist. With his departure soon after, they were left with a void to fill. Undeterred, they resolved to forge ahead.
"Resistance" Rises
With a subtle maneuver, they orchestrated the departure of Pasha and Moskit. In their stead, they retained the band's name and repertoire, save for two cherished songs. After much deliberation, they settled on the moniker "Resistance."
Musical Alchemy
Igor's brief tenure proved invaluable, as his compositions infused their music with newfound depth. Emboldened by his absence, they recruited "Andrey" as their bassist. His contributions brought fresh perspectives and revitalized their creative spirit.
The Voice of the Soul
The void left by Pasha's departure remained a gaping chasm. Determined to fill it, they auditioned numerous candidates, but all fell short. Finally, in the summer of 2005, Resistance welcomed a vocalist who would forever etch his mark in the band's history.
