Early Life and Career
Claudia Nystad, born Claudia Böhler, is a German cross-country skier who has achieved remarkable success in relay events, earning medals at both the Olympic Games and World Championships.
Nystad made her World Cup debut in 2001, eventually claiming her maiden victory in a World Cup relay in December 2006. Throughout her career, she has amassed three World Cup victories, all in team competitions.
Olympic Achievements
Nystad has represented Germany at two Olympic Winter Games, earning a silver medal in the women's relay at the 2006 Turin Games.In addition, she competed in several other individual events, placing 28th in the 7.5+7.5km pursuit, 38th in the 10km classic, 20th in the 30km mass start, and 20th in the sprint.
At the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, Nystad participated in three races, finishing 23rd in the 10km freestyle, 36th in the 7.5+7.5km pursuit, and 18th in the 30km mass start.
World Championship Success
Nystad has also competed at four FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, claiming a silver medal in the relay at the 2007 Sapporo Championships.
Beyond cross-country skiing, she represented Germany at the 2008 CISM World Winter Games in both skiing and biathlon, earning a silver medal in the 10km team classic and the patrol race, respectively.

Nystad uses Fischer skis throughout her career.She has also had sponsorship deals with various brands, including BMW and Garmin.
