Stephen Rea was born on October 31, 1949, in Northern Ireland. He grew up in a Protestant family in Belfast and from a young age, he had a dream of becoming an actor. During his school years, Rea actively participated in various school plays and performances.
Rise to Fame
Rea's debut role came in 1970, with a small part in the film "Cry of the Banshee." However, it wasn't until 1982, when he portrayed a musician in Neil Jordan's detective film "Angel," that he gained recognition.
