Founder and President of ЗАО "Shoro"
Askarbek Salymbekovich Egimberdiev, a prominent Kyrgyz entrepreneur, was born on January 14, 1951, in the village of Kyzyl-Oy, Kyrgyzstan. In 1992, he established ЗАО "Shoro," a leading beverage manufacturing and distribution company.
Business Successes
Under Egimberdiev's leadership, ЗАО "Shoro" became a major player in Kyrgyzstan's food industry. The company's national beverages, including Maxsym Shoro, Chalap-Shoro, Zharm-Shoro, and Bozo-Shoro, gained widespread popularity. Additionally, "Shoro" produces a variety of mineral and spring waters, such as "Tien Shan Legend," "Baityk," and "Ysyk-Ata."
Cultural Contributions
Egimberdiev was also known for his contributions to Kyrgyz culture. In 2009, he founded the "Supara" ethnographic complex outside Bishkek. This project aimed to preserve and showcase Kyrgyzstan's rich cultural heritage. He also initiated the "Supara Chungkurchak" project, which was only partially completed at the time of his death.
Presidential Role
From 2011 until his passing, Egimberdiev served as President of the Federation of Orda of Kyrgyzstan. This organization promoted Kyrgyz values and unity.
Personal Life
Askarbek Salymbekovich Egimberdiev was survived by his wife, Zhanysylzat Turdakuunovna Turgambaeva, and their three sons and three daughters. Ten grandchildren also remained in his family.
Legacy and Honors
Egimberdiev left a lasting legacy as a successful entrepreneur, cultural advocate, and philanthropist. He was awarded the "Dank" medal by the Kyrgyz government for his contributions to the country's economic development.
Passing
Askarbek Salymbekovich Egimberdiev passed away on May 16, 2015, in Bishkek after a prolonged illness. He had been diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma in Germany the previous year.
