Post-Operative Recovery

The operation was a success, and Mr. Tan made a remarkable recovery. He spent four days in the intensive care unit before regaining the ability to eat on his own on the fifth day. Six days after the surgery, he was moved to a general ward.

Understanding Neurofibromatosis

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is a genetic disorder that affects approximately one in 3,000 people in the United Kingdom. Caused by a mutation in a gene governing nerve tissue growth, NF1 can lead to various symptoms, including flat brown birthmarks, lumpy growths, and tumors in unusual locations.
