Tatiana Denisova: Biography of an International Choreographer
Tatiana Denisova is a renowned international choreographer, known for her work on various dance shows and competitions. She is one of the four judges on the popular dance show "Tanzuyut vse!" (Dancing with the Stars) and also a judge on the Ukrainian show "Tantsi so zvezdami" (Dancing with the Stars). Born and raised in Cologne, Germany, Tatiana discovered her passion for dance at a young age.
From the ages of five to ten, Tatiana practiced artistic gymnastics, and from the age of ten, she began studying classical ballet. Her determination and creativity led her to pursue a career in dance.
Early Career and Education
Tatiana's dance journey began when she enrolled at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg at the age of ten. The academy was one of the most prestigious dance institutions in the Soviet Union at that time. Despite the fierce competition, Tatiana's persistence and talent earned her a place in the academy.
During her studies, Tatiana also showcased her choreographic skills by creating her own performances. After completing her training at the academy, she continued her education at the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts, specializing in choreography and directing.
Professional Achievements
After establishing her own dance group in Kiev, Tatiana started teaching at the Estrada-Circus College, where international impresarios and agents would come to watch the students' performances. Her talent caught the attention of the dance community, and she received an exciting opportunity to take her ballet company, "JB," to Germany.
For the past seven years, Tatiana has been choreographing and staging productions in Europe, specializing in disco and Broadway styles. She has worked on numerous dance performances, including the first season of "Tanzuyut vse!" (Dancing with the Stars), where she not only choreographed the routines but also served as a judge.
Personal Life
Tatiana was previously married to aerial acrobat Ilya Strakhov, and they have a son named Lev. However, in early 2011, she left her husband for Alexander Krivoschapko, a finalist on the show "X-Factor." Despite the age difference of twelve years, Tatiana and Alexander have chosen to keep their relationship private.
Tatiana continues to be a demanding choreographer while maintaining a friendly demeanor outside of work. Although she hasn't performed on stage for the past 2.5 years, she previously danced in various styles, except for hip-hop. In her spare time, Tatiana enjoys running and listening to music by artists like Queen, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Nickelback, and Guns'n'Roses.
Tatiana Denisova's life motto is to always rely on oneself. She values her privacy and plans to delete one of her social media accounts due to lack of time for communication. Despite her success, Tatiana remains grounded and focused on her passion for dance and choreography.
