Taylor Michel Momsen was born on July 26, 1993, in St. Louis, Missouri. As a young child, she appeared in a national commercial for Kraft Foods' Shake 'N' Bake. Her first significant acting role was as Honey Bee Swan in "The Prophet's Game" (1999).
Rise to Fame
In 2000, Momsen gained recognition for her portrayal of Cindy Lou Who in the blockbuster fantasy film "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." She also appeared in "Hansel and Gretel" (2002) and "Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams" (2002).
Hiatus and Return to Acting
