Ted King: A Talented Actor in Film, Television, and Theater

Ted King is an American actor known for his roles in theater, film, and television.

Early Life and Education

Born in Hollywood, Ted's father worked as a carpenter at a movie studio. At the tender age of five, Ted won a dance festival prize in Mexico. He spent his childhood on a California ranch, caring for livestock. Later, he enrolled in New York University's film school to study directing.

Theater and Early Career

After graduating, Ted founded the Portal Theater Company, where he directed plays. Despite his talent, his film career struggled, with only minor roles in projects such as "Underworld" and "General Hospital."

Breakthrough Roles

Ted's breakthrough came with a supporting role as a drug dealer in the series "Loving." He subsequently landed a role in "Timecop," which was canceled due to low ratings. He also appeared in guest roles on "The X-Files" while filming "Timecop."

"Charmed" and Beyond

Ted's most notable role to date is Andy Trudeau in the series "Charmed." However, producers were contractually obligated to kill off his character at the end of the first season.

Subsequent Work

After "Charmed," Ted continued to appear in less successful television series but remained dedicated to theater, his first love. In 2008, he joined the cast of "Prison Break" as Downey, but left the project after one season.
