Early Life and Education
Jussi Kuutsa was born in the Finnish town of Iisalmi in 1964. He obtained his bachelor's degree in International Business and Marketing from the University of Vaasa. He also earned a Master's degree in Economics.
Career in Russia-Focused Companies
From 1991 to 1996, Kuutsa served as an Export Manager at Timberjack, responsible for exports to Russia. In 2000, he joined Stockmann Group, where he held various roles, from Regional Director to Director of International Operations Development.
Involvement in Controversial Project
Kuutsa played a notable role in the construction of the Nevsky Center shopping mall on Vosstaniya Street in St. Petersburg. The project was plagued by scandals and controversies.
Leadership at SRV
In 2010, Kuutsa was appointed Regional Director of the SRV holding company in Russia. SRV is currently developing the "Little Finland" cottage settlement in the Leningrad Oblast and several commercial real estate projects in St. Petersburg.
