Early Life and Education
Armenian political figure, born in Yerevan, Armenia. Attended Anton Chekhov Secondary School No. 55, graduating with honors in 1997. Subsequently, he enrolled at the Historical-Geographical Faculty of the Armenian Pedagogical University in 1999, where he served as Chairman of the Faculty Student Council from 1999 to 2001 and Deputy Chairman of the University Student Council.
Political Beginnings
From 2001 to 2005, involved in the Youth Wing of the "Republic" Party, becoming a member of its Political Council. Served in the Armed Forces of Armenia from 2003 to 2005. In 2006, appointed Deputy Chairman of the Youth Party of Armenia, and from 2007 to 2011, served as its Chairman. Contested in the 2007 parliamentary elections on the proportional and majoritarian lists of the Youth Party.
Active Engagement in Youth Projects
Established the "Youth Government" and "Youth Mayor's Office" projects in 2010. In 2011, organized the International Educational Youth Forum of the CIS countries, "Tsaghkadzor 2011." Joined the Prosperous Armenia Party in February 2011, becoming a member of its Political Council.
Parliamentary Career
Elected as a Member of the National Assembly of Armenia on May 6, 2012, representing the Prosperous Armenia Party. Served on the Standing Committees for Foreign Relations (2012-2015) and Ethics (since 2012), and became Deputy Chairman of the European Integration Committee (since 2015). As of 2023, holds the position of Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the National Assembly. Member of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Commission between the National Assembly of Armenia and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Served as Press Secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party from March 9, 2015.
Legislative Contributions
Introduced several legislative proposals, including amendments to the Patent Payments Law, Land Registration Law, and Licensing Law. Participated in the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) from 2015 to 2016.
Party Realignment and Creation of New Party
Left the Prosperous Armenia Party in March 2016 and initiated the formation of the Reformers Party. Currently leads the Reformers Party's initiative group.
International Engagements
Attended the 5th Nevsky International Environmental Congress (Saint Petersburg, 2013), the Public Forum on Eurasian Economic Integration (Kazan, 2013), and the 9th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the National Assembly of Armenia and the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (2014).
