Valeria Kozlova, also known as Lera-Ranetka, was born in Moscow on January 22, 1988. From a young age, she had a passion for dancing and was even part of the "Buratino" ensemble. Today, she is skilled in various dance styles, from traditional to classical, and can even dance en pointe. Her experience playing the drums in a choir also shaped her future.

In August 10, 2005, Valeria, along with her friends Evgeniya Ogurtsova, Anna Rudneva, and Natalya Shchelkova, decided to form the rock group "Ranetki." Later, Elena Tretyakova joined them. Initially, the group had another female vocalist, but she left soon after, and Valeria, with her excellent voice, took over the role, becoming the unique feature of the new group as the drummer-singer.

The group "Ranetki" made their first major appearance in 2006 at the "Megahaus-2006" and "Emaus-2006" festivals. A year later, they performed at "Emaus-2007." By that time, the girls had established good relationships with many famous bands, such as "Gorod 312," "GDR," and "Korni," among others. They also provided backing vocals for the punk band "Tarakan" and the rock group "Uma2rman."

In 2007, the songs of the group "Ranetki" - "Ona odna" (She alone), "Ranetki," and "Malchishki-kadety" (Cadet boys) - were featured in the popular TV series "Kadetstvo" (Cadet School) on the STS channel. The songs gained popularity and were loved by the audience. Little did they know at the time that soon the country would see the performers themselves on the screen.

After the success of "Kadetstvo," the creators decided to shoot a new series based on the real story of the formation of the group "Ranetki," and they kept the same name. The main roles in the series were played by the group members themselves, using their real names, with only their surnames changed. The series also featured actors who had proven themselves in "Kadetstvo."

The series was not just about the creation of a girl band; it had a much broader plot. It was the story of the lives of five girls, their first love, disappointments, and dramas. Valeria Kozlova's character was portrayed as a girl prone to accidents, with betrayal from loved ones and deception from acquaintances. She also had a complicated relationship with her father, a police officer, who struggled to spend time with her due to his work. Her mother was absent from her life.

Talking about the filming experience, Valeria Kozlova confessed: "Every day something unusual and new happens: if you drop the script, you have to sit on it. It's strange to repeat the same line several times with the same intonation. On the first day of filming, there was only one Anya in the scene, but we still came early to support her, stand behind the camera, and see what the director and cameramen see. Filming for us is an opportunity to try ourselves in a new field and fully realize our creative abilities. On the one hand, it seems easy for us to play schoolgirls since we were schoolgirls not long ago, but on the other hand, we played in a band, and the series as a whole will not be about the band."

Despite their lack of experience in acting, the girls appeared natural on screen, and that's what contributed to their success. As soon as the series premiered in March 2008, it immediately captured the hearts of millions of viewers and sparked immense interest in the "Ranetki" group. Today, "Ranetki" is already a popular band with a large fan base. They are admired and respected by many. This places a great responsibility on the group. Therefore, they approached the work on their new album (simultaneously with filming the series) with utmost seriousness. Their songs have matured, which is a cause for celebration.

Valeria Kozlova undoubtedly holds the heart of the group. She possesses a vibrant charisma. Even in her choice of clothing, she prefers bright colors, especially pink. During a trip to London, she bought pink gloves and boots. Valeria loves soft toys, Soviet films, and enjoys riding motorcycles.

The Ranetki girls study together at the Moscow State Institute of Culture and Arts (MGUKI) in the "Social and Cultural Activities" department, specializing in "Production and Staging of Show Programs."
