Biography of Vanessa Hinz

Vanessa Hinz is a German biathlete and three-time world champion in relay events. She began her career by participating in the Junior World Championships in Obertilliach in 2013, where she won as a part of the German relay team. Later that year, she competed in the European Championships in Bansko, Bulgaria, and played a crucial role in the German women's team winning the 4x6 km relay.

Hinz made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup in March 2013 during the pre-Olympic week in Sochi. In her first race, she finished in 45th place in the individual event. In January 2014, she earned her first points in the overall World Cup standings with a 40th place finish in Antholz. Although she qualified for the Olympic Games in Sochi, she was unable to participate as she was not included in the preliminary roster by the German Olympic Sports Confederation.

During the 2014/2015 season, Hinz achieved notable successes. She won the women's relay event at the World Cup stage in Hochfilzen, Austria, along with her teammates Laura Dahlmeier, Franziska Hildebrand, and Franziska Preuss. Additionally, she achieved her first top-ten finish in the sprint event at the same competition, securing sixth place.

At the World Championships in Kontiolahti, Finland, the German women's team consisting of Hildebrand, Preuss, Hinz, and Dahlmeier were crowned world champions in the relay event.

Vanessa Hinz continues to compete at the highest level in biathlon, representing Germany with her exceptional skills and determination.
