Victoria McCrae: An Australian Royal Admirer

Victoria McCrae, a 24-year-old Australian administrator, has been a fervent admirer of Prince Harry for over a decade. Her obsession began when she visited London at the age of 13 to mark the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana's death.

Determined to Marry Prince Harry

McCrae has made several bold attempts to win over Prince Harry. In 2013, she was arrested after trying to paddle across Sydney Harbour in a kayak to meet the visiting prince. A year later, she approached Prince William and declared her desire to marry his brother.

The 2015 Balcony Kiss

In 2015, McCrae again caught Harry's attention by stealing a kiss on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. Holding a sign that read "Marry Me, This is Your Last Chance," she wore a black suit, blue jeans, a British flag cape, and a plastic crown. "I said, 'Prince Harry, this is the third time I've asked you to marry me. Just take the pressure off a girl,'" McCrae recalled.

Daphne Dunne's Royal Begegnung

97-year-old Daphne Dunne, a war widow, stood patiently in the rain at Sydney's Campbell Cove Jetty in 2017, waiting for Prince Harry. She brought a portable refrigerator filled with beer, prepared for the prince to fulfill his promise of a drink. "He's worth waiting for, even in the pouring rain!" she told reporters.

Royal Treats and Support

In 2018, fans offered Prince Harry tea and Tim Tam biscuits as he greeted the crowd during "Invictus Games" in Sydney. Isabel Whitehead, a café worker from "The Tea Cosy," approached with a cup of tea in an ornate floral teapot, while another admirer handed him a chocolate biscuit. "We decided to bring Prince Harry some delicious baked goods and tea because, you know, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach," Whitehead said.

Other Royal Fans and Well-Wishers

Tara Knight, a 32-year-old from Brisbane, brought her seven-month-old daughter, Evali, to meet Prince Harry. "We're down for a couple of days," Knight said. "We just thought, why not come down and try our luck and see him. I'd love for Evali to get to see him. I hope she wakes up in time."
