Early Life and CareerVincent Baguian, born Pampaghian on October 21, 1962, in Saint-Ouen, France, is a French singer of Armenian descent. His parents worked as civil servants in the PTT. At the age of 18, Baguian began working in an advertising agency, where he eventually became a creative director, notably for the albums of Serge Gainsbourg.
Music Career: Early Successes
Concurrent with his advertising career, Baguian pursued music. In 1991, he released his debut album, "Triste," which sold a modest 71 copies. Greater success followed in 1996 with "Pas mal," and particularly in 2000 with the album "Mes," a collection of biting and poetic songs filled with puns.
Breakthrough and Collaborations
Baguian's 2007 album, "Ce soir, c'est moi qui fais la fille," solidified his position in French music. He is a close friend of the singer Zazie, for whom he has written numerous songs and opened many concerts. Together, they have recorded duets such as "Simple comme bonjour" and "Je ne t'aime pas." They also collaborated on the musical fairy tale "Sol En Cirque" (2003) for the AIDS prevention association Sol En Si.
Songwriting Success
Baguian has also written many songs for Élise Tovati, including those on her album "Je ne mâche pas les mots" (2006). Additionally, he has contributed to the musical comedies "Mozart, L'opéra Rock," "1789: Les Amants de la Bastille," "Mistinguett, Reine des années folles," and "Le Rouge et le Noir."
