Vital Voronov

Born in Belarus, Andrei Voranov is a renowned author, translator, and publisher. In 1996, he immigrated to Poland with his family. From 1999 to 2003, he attended the First Private Lyceum in Poznan, earning an international diploma.
Voranov subsequently pursued higher education at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. He also studied in Plzen and defended his dissertation at Masaryk University in Brno. Notably, he was a visiting researcher at Southwestern College in Kansas, USA, from 2012 to 2013.
Literary Career
Early WorkVoranov's literary debut occurred in 2006 with the short story "Aunt" published in the prestigious Belarusian magazine Dzeyaslov.
Publications
In 2013, Voranov's short story collection "Grand Duchy of Belarus" was released in Belarusian with a Polish translation. The following year, he published "Whispers," a collection based on a folklore expedition in Polesie and Podlaskie, also translated into Polish.
Translations
Voranov's most notable contribution to Belarusian literature is his translation of Alan Milne's "Winnie-the-Pooh." He has also translated Samuel Beckett's play "Waiting for Godot."
Publishing and Cultural Activism
Voranov is the founder of the publishing house "Biely Krumakach." Additionally, he is a co-founder and chairman of the Belarusian Cultural and Educational Center in Poznan. As a critic, journalist, and publicist, his work has appeared in various Belarusian periodicals.
