Early Life and Education

Vitaly Shlyappo, a Belarusian and Russian producer and screenwriter, was born in the village of Dolzha in the Gomel Oblast, Belarus. He graduated from Dolzha Secondary School in 1992 and later earned a degree in mathematics from the Vitebsk State University in 1997.

KVN Captain and Early Television Career

Shlyappo's journey in the entertainment industry began as the captain of the Belarusian State University's KVN team from 1999 to 2002. The team emerged victorious twice in the "Highest League" (1999 and 2001). After his KVN success, he worked as a screenwriter for Pilot-TV from 2002 to 2003 and REN TV from 2003 to 2005.

Breakthrough at CTC

From 2005 to 2011, Shlyappo played a pivotal role at the CTC television channel as a screenwriter and creative producer. He was instrumental in creating popular projects such as the sketch show "6 Kadrov," the improvisation show "Slava Bogu, Ty Prishel!'," and the sitcom "Papiny Dochki" (Daddy's Daughters). As a producer, he was responsible for the sketch shows "Daesh Molodezh!" (Give Us Youth!) and "Odna Za Vsekh" (One for All).

Yellow, Black and White and Major Success

In 2011, Shlyappo joined the studio "Yellow, Black and White" as its General Producer and a member of the Board of Directors. Under his leadership, the studio has produced a string of successful projects, including the sitcoms "Kukhnia" (Kitchen), "Otel Eleon" (Hotel Eleon), and "Ivanovy-Ivanovy." He also oversaw the production of films such as "Kukhnia v Parizhe" (Kitchen in Paris), "Otel Belgrad" (Hotel Belgrade), "KholoP" (Serf), and the "Last Bogatyr" trilogy. As General Producer, he has been behind the films "Text" and the series "Soderzhanki" (Mistresses), "Shtorm" (Storm), and "Vampiry Srednei Polosy" (Vampires of Mid-Russia).

Further Ventures

From 2018 to 2020, Shlyappo served as General Producer of the "Super" television channel. He is also one of the founders and General Producer of the video streaming service Start, launched in 2017.

Awards and Recognition

Shlyappo's contributions to television and film have been recognized with numerous awards. He has won TЭФИ (Teffi) Awards for "Screenwriter of a Television Drama Series" (for "Papiny Dochki" in 2009) and "Producer of a Television Program" (for "Odna Za Vsekh" in 2011). Many of his projects have also received awards from the Association of Film and Television Producers (APKiT), TЭФИ, NIKA, and Golden Eagle.
