Childhood and Early Career

Vladimir Danylyuk's journey into the world of football began after finishing school. He joined FC Naftovyk Drohobych, where he impressed with 9 goals in just 3 months. His talent caught the attention of FC Karpaty Lviv in 1965.

Debut and Injury Setback

Danylyuk made his debut for Karpaty on April 10, 1966. Unfortunately, a broken leg during his debut season prevented him from showcasing his full potential. By the 1968 season, he had become a regular starter.

Prolific Goalscorer and Cup Success

In 1968, Karpaty won the championship in their subgroup, with Danylyuk contributing 21 goals in 33 matches. The following year, he played a key role in Karpaty's Soviet Cup victory.

Promotion to the Top Flight

In 1970, Karpaty earned promotion to the Soviet Top League. Danylyuk established himself as a prolific goalscorer, netting 42 goals in 142 matches between 1971 and 1977. He earned a place among the 50 best Ukrainian goalscorers in the Soviet championship.

Retirement and Coaching Career

Injury plagued Danylyuk throughout his career, but he persevered through five different fractures. At the age of 31, he retired from professional football after the 1978 season. Transitioning to coaching, he became an instructor at the Lviv Physical Culture College in 1979.
