Early Life and Political Career

Wilhelm Keppler was born in 1882 in Karlsruhe, Germany. He became a prominent industrialist and joined the Nazi Party (NSDAP) early on. In 1933, Keppler was elected to the Reichstag and appointed Reich Commissioner for Economic Affairs.

Support for Hitler and the Nazi Regime

Keppler was a strong financial supporter of Adolf Hitler and played a key role in organizing the pro-Nazi business and industrial group known as the Keppler Group. He actively participated in the preparation and execution of the Anschluss with Austria in 1938.

Diplomatic and Military Service

During World War II, Keppler held diplomatic positions in the Foreign Ministry. He also managed businesses and foundations under the control of the SS.

Post-War Trial and Imprisonment
