Early Life and Education
William Moseley was born on 27 April 1987, in Sheepscombe, Gloucestershire, England. His father, Peter Moseley, was a cinematographer, likely inspiring his son's desire for a career in film. His mother, Juliette Fleming, and his siblings, brother Benjamin (born 1992) and sister Daisy (born 1989), add to his family.
Moseley attended Sheepscombe Primary School from 1991 to 1998 before moving on to Wycliffe College, Gloucestershire. He also studied at Marling School for Boys.
Acting Debut
At seven years old, Moseley discovered C.S. Lewis's "The Chronicles of Narnia" through an audiobook. Little did he know that this book would later play a pivotal role in his career. His dream of becoming an actor emerged at the tender age of 10, as his parents later revealed.
Breakthrough with "The Chronicles of Narnia"
In 1998, Moseley attended the auditions for the television series "Cider with Rosie," marking his acting debut. Though the role was minor, it opened doors for his future career. Casting director Pippa Hall took note of his talent and later suggested he audition for the lead role of Peter Pevensie in "The Chronicles of Narnia."
Over the next eight months, Moseley trained in New Zealand for the role, honing his skills in horseback riding and sword fighting. The films, directed by Andrew Adamson, were released in 2005, 2008, and 2010. Moseley's portrayal of Peter Pevensie garnered him recognition and awards.
Rising Career
Moseley's success in "The Chronicles of Narnia" propelled him into further acting opportunities. He appeared in "The Selection" (2012), "Silent Mountain" (2014), "Gone Girl" (2014), and "The Royals" (2015-2018). In 2016, he landed a role in "The Little Mermaid" as reporter Cam Harrison.
Personal Life
Moseley has kept his personal life private. In an interview following "The Chronicles of Narnia," he mentioned a brief relationship with co-star Anna Popplewell, but they split during filming. He currently remains single, prioritizing his career over serious relationships.
Social Media Presence
Moseley is active on social media, with accounts on Twitter and Instagram. He shares updates about his projects and personal life.
