Legal Career

Yarema Kuznietsov began his legal career at "Veneto" in 2003, where he eventually became head of the legal department. From 2003 to 2007, he worked for TNK BP. He then served as head of the legal department at "MD Retail" (later Arricano) from 2007 to 2009.

Arricano

From 2009 to 2013, Kuznietsov was head of the legal department at Arricano. He became the company's acting CEO from December 2013 to September 2014. From November 2014 to April 2015, he was a member of Arricano's board of directors.

Arricano's portfolio includes nine shopping and entertainment centers. Of these, five have been built, including Sky Mall and "RAiON" in Kyiv, "Solnechnaya Gallerya" in Kryvyi Rih, City Mall in Zaporizhzhia, and "Yuzhnaya Galereya" in Simferopol. In December 2014, the 44,100 sq.m. "Prospekt" shopping and entertainment center opened in Kyiv. Arricano Real Estate's shares have been listed on the AIM of the London Stock Exchange since September 2013.

Public Service

On April 8, 2015, Kuznietsov was appointed Chairman of the State Agency for Fisheries of Ukraine. As head of the agency, he implemented reforms in the fishing industry. In 2015, he deregulated the industry, eliminating seven permits that provided opportunities for corruption. He also created conditions for the development of aquaculture and mariculture and prohibited industrial fishing in the Dnieper River within Kyiv.

Kuznietsov also reformed the fishery protection authorities, replacing fishing inspectors, whose performance had been questioned, with a new Fish Patrol. In December 2015, a competition was held for the Fish Patrol in Kyiv and the surrounding region, with over 2,000 applications received.

Kuznietsov played a role in protecting Ukraine's ocean fishing fleet from the Crimean occupation force. In 2015, the fleet generated revenue of 19 million hryvnia for the first time since 1997, with 13 million hryvnia being dividends. He also improved working conditions for Ukrainian ships and secured a new charter for the vessel "Ivan Golubets."

Kuznietsov was dismissed from his post as Chairman of the State Agency for Fisheries of Ukraine on August 30, 2017.
