Yuri Yarvet was an Estonian actor who achieved recognition and love from the audience through his theater performances and notable roles in films. Born on February 5, 1927, in Tallinn, Estonia, he had a passion for sports during his youth, particularly gymnastics, in which he even became a champion in Tallinn.

However, it was his talent for dancing that led Yarvet into the world of theater. Choreographers noticed him in a sports hall and realized his potential as a dancer. He was accepted into the dance group of the Tallinn Workers' Theater, and later joined the Estonian SSR State Ensemble. Eventually, he became a part of the State Theater for Young Audiences.
