Education and Military Career

Yuriy Aristov holds a degree in Radio Communication from the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (1997). In 2021, he obtained a doctorate in economics from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, with a dissertation on the role of the budget in socioeconomic development.

Business Ventures

Aristov ventured into entrepreneurship in 2006. He founded and operated a chain of home decor stores named "Te Amo" from 2006 to 2014. In the same period, he also established "Ids Factor," an import company.

From 2014 to 2019, Aristov co-founded several businesses in the food and beverage industry:

- "Rybolov" (restaurant)

- "AB Retail" (chain of cafes and bars)
- "Golden Fish" and "Black Shrimp" (restaurant and seafood bars)
- "Atlantic-UMMA" (importer and wholesaler of fresh fish and seafood)
Political Career

Aristov was elected to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, in the 2019 parliamentary elections as a representative of the "Servant of the People" party. He served as an independent member of the party's parliamentary faction.

From 2019 to 2023, he held the position of Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada's Budget Committee. Additionally, Aristov was a member of various parliamentary groups responsible for interparliamentary relations with France, Japan, Norway, Canada, and the United States.

Resignation and Investigation

In July 2023, Aristov resigned from his parliamentary position after being noticed vacationing in the Maldives during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The "Servant of the People" party initially expressed unawareness of his trip.

Subsequently, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies (DBR and SBU) launched an investigation into Aristov's alleged submission of false information to obtain a medical leave while abroad. On July 27, 2023, the Verkhovna Rada stripped him of his parliamentary mandate. On the same day, the Prosecutor General charged him with falsifying official documents.

Personal Life

Aristov is married to Marina Aristova, a restaurateur, influencer, and television host. They have three children together.
