The Oldest Prostitutes in Amsterdam

Louise and Martine Fokkens, identical twin sisters, are the oldest prostitutes in Amsterdam, with a career spanning over 50 years. However, in their seventies, they have decided to retire from the oldest profession in the world. According to their calculations, they have served a total of 355,000 clients throughout their years of work.

Early Life and Difficulties

Louise and Martine's mother had Jewish roots, although the occupying Nazis in the Netherlands were unaware of this. During the war, the sisters often hid in the basement, using frying pans as makeshift helmets during bombings. Despite the turbulent times, they claim to have had a great deal of fun.

Louise and Martine Fokkens

Growing up, Louise and Martine had the same dreams and aspirations as any other teenage girls. Becoming prostitutes was never part of their fantasies. However, when Louise got married, her life took a turn for the worse. Her husband, who would sometimes express his love with violence, kicked her out of their home when she was just in her twenties. He told her that she needed to start earning money by selling herself, otherwise he would leave her. With children to support and still loving her husband, Louise had no choice but to enter the profession.

When Martine discovered what had happened to her sister, she wanted to help. She found a job as a cleaner in a brothel, and eventually, the sisters began to engage in threesomes with Louise's clients. They both endured humiliation, violence, insults, and abuse during the early years of their work.

Establishing Their Own Business

Eventually, the Fokkens sisters opened their own brothel in Amsterdam's red-light district. They also claim to have founded one of the first unofficial unions for prostitutes. Despite prostitution being legalized in Amsterdam, the sisters felt ashamed when their loved ones found out about their profession.

Life in Retirement

In their old age, Louise and Martine openly share the details of their lives without a hint of embarrassment. Louise has retired from prostitution, finding the physical pain caused by arthritis too unbearable. However, Martine still struggles to see herself as a regular retiree, as she has become accustomed to a different financial situation. She occasionally indulges in role-playing games for elderly men at the brothel, equipped with various BDSM accessories to cater to their desires.

Documentary and Books

The Fokkens sisters became the subjects of the documentary film "Meet The Fokkens," in which they reveal the secrets of their profession. The trailer shows the elderly sisters dancing a jig in red dresses, accompanied by their loyal Chihuahua. The film also includes scenes of the sisters browsing vibrators in a sex shop and Martine, dressed as a dominatrix, addressing her submissive partner for their BDSM role-play. Louise and Martine have also written two books, "Ouwehoeren" and "Ouwehoeren Op Reis," which detail their life experiences at home and abroad. The first book became a bestseller in the Netherlands.
