2AM: Birth of the Boy Band

2AM is a South Korean boy band managed by JYP Entertainment, consisting of four members. Along with 2PM, another group under the same agency, 2AM forms part of the music project One Day.

Debut and Early Success

The group made their official debut on July 11, 2008, on KBS's "Music Bank," performing their song "This Song." Their official fan club name is IAM, and their official color is metallic gray. 2AM won their first "Mutizen" on the music show "Inkigayo" on February 7, 2010, with the song "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die."

Hot Blood Origins

Before debuting, 2AM members participated in the Mnet documentary series "Hot Blood," which chronicled the training days of JYP Entertainment trainees. Out of eleven participants, two groups were formed: 2AM and 2PM. Changmin was the only member of One Day who did not participate in the show as he was serving mandatory military service at the time. Jinwoon was initially eliminated from the show but was later added to 2AM as a replacement for a member who left the agency.
