Biography of Ace Steel

Chris Guy, born on January 25, 1973, is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Ace Steel. He developed an interest in professional wrestling as a child after watching shows from the American Wrestling Association. After completing his training, he made his debut in October 1991 and adopted the ring name "Steel Ace" or "Ace Steel".

Hollywood Hardbodies and Steel Domination

Ace Steel formed a tag team called the "Hollywood Hardbodies" with Danny Dominion. Together, they managed the "Steel Domination" wrestling school in Chicago from 1997 to 2001. During this time, Steel also competed in the Minnesota Championship Wrestling and the St. Louis Wrestling Alliance Mississippi Valley.

South Central Region and IWA Championship

Ace Steel had a stint in the South Central region of IWA (Independent Wrestling Association). On February 8, 2002, in Indianapolis, Indiana, he defeated Kurt Krueger to become the IWA South Central Region Lightweight Champion. He held the title until March 8 when he lost to Vic Capri in Dayton, Ohio. However, Steel regained the title on May 3 by defeating Capri in an Iron Man match in Indianapolis. He ultimately lost the title in June for failing to defend it within 30 days.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

In 2002, Ace Steel joined the newly formed Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He formed a tag team with his former student CM Punk called "Hatebreed." Their appearances in the X Division were sporadic, and Steel's contract with the promotion expired in October 2003.

Ring of Honor and The Second City Saints

Ace Steel joined Ring of Honor (ROH) in early 2003, reuniting with CM Punk. On March 22, Steel and Punk faced their enemy, Raven, and another former student of Steel's, Colt Cabana. Cabana betrayed Steel and joined forces with Raven, forming a new faction called "Hatebreed." Steel, Punk, and Cabana formed a new faction called "The Second City Saints," representing their hometown of Chicago. The group had several successful matches and storylines.
