Adolfo Cambiaso - The Second Best Polo Player in the World
Adolfo Cambiaso, an Argentine polo player, is currently considered the second best polo player in the world. He belongs to the highest category of players, known as the 'ten-goal category', according to the modern polo player rating system. Adolfo's interest in polo was sparked by his mother, Martina de Estrada Lainez, who actively encouraged her children to take up the sport. Adolfo's impressive abilities led him to join the '1 goal' category by the age of 12.

Early Achievements
Just a year later, Adolfo, now a 'three-goal' player, won the Eduardo Heguy Cup with his team, La Martina, which also included his father. In 1989, Adolfo emerged victorious in the Campaña del Desierto Cup while playing for the San Diego team. The following year, he competed in the Renault Cup Open as part of the La Martina team and by then, he had already reached the '6-goal' category.

International Success
Adolfo traveled extensively around the world, participating in major international tournaments. From 1990 to 1994, he won a total of 24 tournaments in Argentina, the United States, and England. In 1994, as part of the Ellerstina team, Adolfo achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Argentine Open, Hurlingham Open, and Tortugas Cup, also known as the 'Triple Crown', which propelled him to the highest category of '10 goals'. At that time, Adolfo became the youngest player to reach such a high rank.

Establishing La Dolfina Polo Team
Adolfo's success continued as he won 31 tournaments from 1995 to 1999. Initially, he played for well-known teams like La Martina and Ellerstina, but in 1997, he founded his own team called La Dolfina Polo Team. From 2000 to 2004, Adolfo became a champion 33 times. By then, he had stopped playing for Ellerstina to focus on developing his own team, which had already shown impressive results.

Success in England
Adolfo joined the Dubai team in England, which won the Queen's Cup three times and the Gold Cup twice. The resources invested in La Dolfina paid off, as Adolfo's team became one of the best in the sport. In 2005, 2006, and 2007, La Dolfina won the Argentina Open, with the 2005 final against Ellerstina ending in a record-breaking 20-19 scoreline. Adolfo also continued to play for Dubai and later became the captain of the American team Crab Orchard, winning the US Open and the USPA Gold Cup.

Reputation and Personal Life
Although Adolfo faced a series of losses in 2008, it did not diminish his reputation. He is still regarded as one of the best polo players in the world and the most successful player in the Argentine Open. Adolfo participated in the Argentine Open 15 times, winning seven times and finishing as a runner-up twice. In the Argentine Open alone, Adolfo scored 535 goals, surpassing Bautista Heguy's record. In 2001, Adolfo married María Vázquez, one of the most famous models in South America, and they have two children together. Adolfo received recognition from Queen Elizabeth II in 2012 for his humane approach to animal training, which significantly differed from the more brutal methods used by other trainers.
