Early Life and Career
Adrienne Barbeau was born on June 11, 1945, in Sacramento, California. She is the daughter of a French-Canadian father and an Armenian mother. When she was 12 years old, her parents divorced, and she required extensive therapy to overcome the psychological trauma of the separation.
In her youth, Barbeau took dance and singing lessons with the support of her mother. She was known as an energetic theater member in high school and later at Foothill Junior College in California.
